Christina Aguilera tells gay kids ‘just be yourself’
Pop star Christina Aguilera has added her support to Stonewall’s campaign against homophobic bullying.
The charity has begun a new campaign called It Gets Better… Today, which is inspired by the US YouTube campaign It Gets Better.
The singer said: “I know just how important it is to feel like you can be yourself – in your career and in your everyday life.
“For anyone who feels like an outsider, I want to say: Don’t let the bullies win. Be yourself – and don’t let words get you down. It gets better today. With your help, Stonewall can make it happen.”
Aguilera recently split from her husband Jordan Bratman. Hollywood rumours suggest the pair’s marriage fell apart because the singer had lesbian affairs.
