New reality TV show on Soho lesbian bar
Lesbian club Candy Bar is to be the subject of a new Channel 5 fly-on-the-wall TV show.
The six-part series will follow the lives of the Soho bar’s staff as well as featuring gay club boss Gary Henshaw.
Former Big Brother star Shabby Katchadourian will also appear on the show, which has a working title of Candy Bar Girls.
Viewers will see the bar’s relaunch, as well as following the girls’ love lives and personal dramas.
Andrew O’Connell, Channel 5’s head of factual, told the Daily Star: “With this new commission we aim to highlight a world that has had little screen presence in the past.
“We’ll bring a glimpse of their lives straight into the homes of our viewers.”
