Eastenders actress to perform with Brighton’s Gay Men’s Chorus
Veteran EastEnders star June Brown has revealed she will be performing on stage with Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus at their ‘Pull a Cracker’ Christmas Show.
The legendary soap icon, who has played the role of Dot Cotton for 25 years, is “really looking forward” to the event.
It takes place at the Brighton Dome on 11 December.
Brown told The Argus newspaper, that she could not think of a “better way” to kick-start the festive season.
The 84-year-old is “looking forward” to raising money for the chorus and the Sussex Beacon charity.
Comedian and Brighton resident Zoe Lyons has also been announced as the show’s compere.
According to Digital Spy, Lyons said: “I am totally delighted to be part of the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus show at the Dome, particularly as it is helping to raise funds for Sussex Beacon who provide vital services for men and women living with HIV/AIDS.
“As well as continuing to provide excellent outpatient facilities there is an urgent need to raise money to keep the inpatient ward open.
“By coming to ‘Pull a Cracker’, the audience will not only be getting right into the Yuletime swing but also contributing towards another great cause this Christmas.”
