PC Fiona Bone laid to rest in Scotland
Fiona Bone, the police officer who was murdered in Manchester, has been laid to rest in Moray in north east Scotland.
The private ceremony at Clovenside Cemetery in Forres was attended by PC Bone’s immediate family.
The 32-year-old constable died alongside colleague PC Nicola Hughes, 23, in Mottram last month.
Last week, funeral services took place at Manchester Cathedral for both of the fallen officers.
Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police Sir Peter Fahy said PCs Hughes and Bone “exemplified the very best of British policing”.
Fiona Bone had been planning to enter into a civil partnership with her girl friend Clare Curran when she lost her life.
She was helping to bring up Ms Curran’s five-year-old daughter Jessie who attended last week’s funeral in Manchester.
Fiona Bone was brought up in Moray and educated in Hopeman and Lossiemouth while her father served in the RAF.
Dale Cregan, 29, is in custody charged with the officers’ murders, along with those of two other men.
