Rylan Clark eliminated from the X Factor after sing-off
Rylan Clark was the latest contestant to have been voted off the X Factor by the judges this evening, after performing in the sing-off against boy band Union J.
The openly gay model-turned-singer from Essex, found himself in the bottom two alongside Union J, but after performing the Athlete hit, Wires, he was voted off the show by the judges.
Critics hailed tonight’s performance as his best on the series.
Nicole Scherzinger supported her own act Rylan, whilst Louis Walsh went with his own, Union J, who had performed Run, by Snow Patrol.
Addressing Rylan, Louis said “you are a fantastic guy” and went on to say “I think you are going to have an amazing career.”
During his performance, he gave Gary Barlow a kiss, and the two had gotten on well during the show, seeming to have put the controversy of this week behind them.
Yesterday, in an interview, Mr Clark had voiced his displeasure at at comments made by Gary Barlow at a charity event on Tuesday, in which he suggested that the judge had gone too far.
Rylan, and former contestant, Lucy Spraggan, who left the show earlier in the series due to illness, will be the headline performers at G-A-Y this Saturday night.
