Gareth Thomas joins ITV’s Dancing on Ice
Former Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas is tackling a new challenge in the New Year by swapping rugby boots for skates to star in the new series of Dancing On Ice
He’ll be joined by Keith Chegwin, Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson, X Factor winner Shayne Ward and Lauren Goodger from The Only Way Is Essex.
Olympians Beth Tweddle and Luke Campbell are also getting their skates on along with soap stars Samia Ghadie, who plays Maria Connor in Coronation Street, and Matt Lapinskas who played Anthony Moon in EastEnders.
Anthea Turner, Joe Pasquale and former MP Oona King – who earlier this year recorded an Out4Marriage video – are also on the ITV show, which makes its return on Sunday 6 January.
At the start of the year, Gareth Thomas came third in Celebrity Big Brother.
