Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, Paula Hamilton, caused controversy by suggesting that actor, Sam Robertson, was secretly gay, and that he needed to come out.

Openly gay former X Factor contestant, and current Celebrity Big Brother housemate Rylan Clark jokingly said that he had nominated Scottish actor and model, Sam Robertson, for eviction, because he was straight.

Paul Hamilton, a CBB evictee, appeared on Big Brother’s Bit on the side, and said that Robertson, best known for playing Flynn on E4 comedy Beaver Falls, was a “closet queen”. She continued that “he needs to come out, he’s gay,” Yahoo reports.

The model also referred to a coconut she had, named Boris, as her “gay best friend”.

On 25 November, Rylan Clark was voted off the X Factor by the judges, after performing in the sing-off against boy band Union J.

It was reported that the gay former X Factor contender had been snapped up as a presenter on ITV’s Daybreak programme just days after being voted off the music reality show. He then joined other celebrities in the Big Brother house.

In his video introduction before entering the house, Clark said: “I’m frightened I’ll get pissed and embarrass myself.” Speaking to host Brian Dowling he said: ”This is so much more nerve-wracking than X Factor, it really is.”

On Wednesday, Clark broke down in tears yesterday on the Channel 5 reality series and claimed he was more hated than paedophile Jimmy Savile.
