Jane Lynch and Lara Embry to divorce
Glee actress Jane Lynch is divorcing her wife of three years, it has been announced.
The 52-year-old star married Lara Embry in 2010 in Massachusetts, a state where equal marriage is legal.
“Lara and I have decided to end our marriage,” Lynch said in a statement to People magazine. “This has been a difficult decision for us as we care very deeply about one another. We ask for privacy as we deal with this family matter.”
The end of the marriage also marks the end of Lynch’s time as a step-mother to Embry’s school-age daughters, Haden and Chase.
Lynch has said that being a stepmother was a role she cherished.
She is currently making her Broadway debut in a revival of the musical Annie. She’s portraying the role of Miss Hannigan till July 16.
