Jonas Brothers: ‘We’re not gay but rumours don’t offend us’
The Jonas Brothers have addressed rumours about their sexualities, to say that, despite not being gay, they refuse to be offended by the speculation.
The trio, Kevin, Joe and Nick have been the subject of rumours for several years, despite that Kevin married his wife Danielle Deleasa in 2009, and both Joe and Nick have publicly dated women.
In an interview, and cover feature with Out magazine, the three say they are unfazed by speculation about their sexuality, saying they feel a strong connection with gay fans, and gay friends.
Joe said: “We have a lot of gay friends and gay fans. It’s a boy band stereotype; people assume, but we don’t take offence.”
Nick also commented, to say: “Prior to us being a band, I was a super theater geek. I loved theater and I still do, and I care about fashion, and I care about a lot of things that I feel like stereotypes are attached to.”
