Fox News pundit ‘deeply hurt’ people think she’s homophobic for claims mass-murder had ‘homosexual impulses’
Fox News psychotherapist Robi Ludwig says she is “deeply hurt” that people think she’s homophobic for claiming mass-murderer Elliot Rodger had “homosexual impulses”.
Elliot Rodger, who died after killing 6 innocent people and injuring many more in Isla Vista, had posted a rant on YouTube and left a 141-page manifesto promising retribution because he could not get a girlfriend.
She said: “When I was first listening to him, I was like, ‘Oh, he’s angry with women for rejecting him’, and then I started to have a different idea: Is this somebody who is trying to fight against his homosexual impulses?
“Was he angry with women because they were taking away men from him? Was he angry at the men for not choosing him?”
She told the Washington Post today that anti-gay views weren’t part of her “mental landscape”, adding: “I’m a little bit paranoid to say anything because my words have been so twisted.
“I’m deeply hurt that it was taken this way by some of the people that heard it.
“I am so saddened by this situation and, you know, if there was a way to fix it, I would love to do that.
“Nobody goes on a spree like this without having serious psychological impairment and difficulties on multiple levels. That’d be true of anybody.”
Earlier today, real estate company Coldwell Banker announced it had “parted ways” with Ludwig, purging all of her articles from its website.
