Video: Wheel of Fortune host asks gay contestant if he’s marrying a woman
Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak mistakenly asked a gay contestant last night whether he had found a woman who was willing to marry him.
During the episode, which aired Thursday evening, Sajak introduced contestant TK Klotz, asking: “So you’re engaged, some woman agreed to marry you?”
Klotz replied: “Some gentleman, actually”, before Sajak, lost for words, joked: “I had a 50-50 shot he’s gay, and I messed up!”
Sajak – a Republican donor – attracted ire a few months ago when he “came out” as straight, and later claimed that next people will demand equal rights for plants.

Klotz told Deadspin of the gaffe: “Pat actually apologized to me during commercial break. He may be outspoken about homosexuality but when confronted with it head on he was very nice.”
