Beyoncé celebrates marriage equality in rainbow-tastic video
After a week of waiting, Beyoncé has finally weighed in on the Supreme Court’s ruling in favour of same-sex marriage.
Recreating her ‘7/11’ music video, the star posted to Instagram featuring her dancing in a range of rainbow outfits. As well as a rainbow cape, Beyoncé also boasts a rainbow flag, a rainbow sweater, some rainbow feathers, flower petals a rainbow dress and a rainbow bathing suit. The video, which has been liked a million times, is captioned simply with “Never Too Late”, and the hashtag #LoveWins By the looks of it, the ‘Crazy in Love’ star went on a rainbow shopping spree, or sent someone out to collect as many outfits as they could find. In 2013, the Single Ladies singer announced her support for equal marriage, writing: “If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it”.
She also said she was “flattered” to be considered a gay icon, and paid tribute to her gay fan base.
