Mad Men star Jared Harris appears in a new skit – correcting an ill-informed couple discussing Caitlyn Jenner.
In the ‘Funny or Die’ spoof, the actor plays a professor who appears while a couple are discussing the Olympian’s transition.
When the man says Caitlyn is “pretending to be a woman” and is a “he”, the professor appears to correct the pair’s grammar, My Fair Lady style.
He explains the difference between ‘transgender’ and ‘transsexual’, teachers them that ‘transgenders’ and ‘transgendered’ are offensive, and explains pronouns to the pair.
However, things don’t go well, when the woman he is giving elocution lessons to also appears.
He would get on well with Apple’s voice assistant Siri – who is also quietly correcting people who refer to Caitlyn Jenner by her old name.
Asking Siri about her former name generates the response: “Caitlyn Jenner’s full name is Caitlyn Jenner.”
Similarly, using her former name asking how tall she is or how many children she has will lead to the voice assistant correcting you.
