Holland Taylor rumoured to be dating American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson
The actress recently opened up about her sexuality.
Two and a Half Men actress Holland Taylor opened up about her sexuality this week, before revealing that she is dating a “much younger woman.”
Although the actress did not reveal the name of her partner, People.com has claimed that the woman in question is American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson.
The magazine says that has had the rumour confirmed by “multiple” sources and that the pair’s relationship is an “open secret” in Hollywood.
Paulson, who is currently starring in lesbian romance Carol, has previously dated fellow actress Cherry Jones.
However, she the actress refuses to “define” her sexuality, though she argues this is not because she is “unwilling to embrace” it.
“I’m not looking to define myself, and I’m sorry if that is something that is seen as a rejection of or an unwillingness to embrace (my sexuality) in a public way, but it’s simply not,” she said in a candid interview with PrideSource.
“It’s simply what’s true for me, and that’s all I can speak to.”
“All I can say is, I’ve done both, and I don’t let either experience define me.”
Taylor, meanwhile, described her new relationship as “the most wonderful, extraordinary thing that could have ever possibly happened in my life.”
The 72 year-old actress was also asked why it had taken her such a long time to come out as gay.
“I haven’t come out because I am out,” she replied. “I live out.”
“I feel at this point in the conversation it feels kind of awkward. Now I feel very very shy of it.
“I’ve been really wrestling with this lately because most of my relationships have been with women and I don’t like talking about them because I don’t like talking about the politics of it all.
“I think we’re ridiculous in this country (the US) about it. Ridiculous.”
The actress went on to say that she and her girlfriend has discussed the possibility of marriage.
“Given my generation it would not be something that would automatically occur to me,” she said.
“But as a symbol, as a pledge, as a plight one’s troth, it would be a wonderful thing to do.”
Taylor has starred in a series of plays, films and TV shows, but is probably best known globally for her role as Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen’s selfish mother on sitcom Two and a Half Men.
