Viewers storm out of Daniel Radcliffe’s new ‘farting corpse’ movie featuring gay kiss
Sundance Film Festival has seen audiences walk out from a showing of the highly anticipated Swiss Army Man – featuring a farting corpse.
Starring Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano, it shows a lost man (Dano) befriending a farting corpse (Radcliffe).
The movie is directed by music video duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
In an earlier interview, Scheinert admitted that the inspiration behind the film was a “fart joke”.
‘Swiss Army Man’ opens with the corpse washing up ashore. As Dano’s character checks it, it springs back to life – twitching and passing gas.
The pair also kiss at one point during the 90 minute movie.
However, is still unknown which part of the film prompted the walkouts – with the kiss, farting and long discussions about masturbation given as possible motives.
Speaking about the controversial role at a Q&A, Radcliffe said: ”The chance to play a dead guy in this context was too much fun to pass up.”
Radcliffe was recently forced to rubbish rumours that he masturbated on the set of Harry Potter, following a very candid interview with Playboy last month.
Describing himself as “an early starter”, the child star – who won this year’s Rear of The Year award – answered a little to honestly when asked about masturbating.
“It’s frustrating when you tell a story and say, ‘Yes, I w**ked a lot when I was a teenager,’ but clearly I didn’t mean on set,” he told NME.
“Can you make this clear for me: I was not w**king during the filming of Potter – I managed to restrain myself until I got home.”
