Jaden Smith pulls off a skirt in latest gender fluid photo shoot
The actor and rapper says he refuses to be defined by traditional stereotypes.
Jaden Smith has stripped down to nothing but a skirt for Korean Vogue.
The 17-year-old – who was unveiled as the new face of Louis Vuitton womenswear earlier this month – has been praised for continually breaking traditional gender stereotypes.
The son of Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith posted a preview of his latest project on Instagram.
In the photo, he sports a black skirt, blue nail varnish and a red flower behind his ear. The image’s caption reads: “Just Come Here.”
The Karate Kid star has gained huge popularity on social media due to his unique tweets and images – most notably those in which he opened up about wearing dresses.
Last summer, Smith – the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith – also wore a white dress when attending his school prom with actress Amanda Stenberg.
Speaking to Billboard magazine recently, Smith compared himself to Einstein when discussing his style choices.
“Einstein didn’t really like to change clothes because he had too much other stuff to worry about and I’m the same,” he said.
“All black is pretty much my go-to look. If somebody is just wearing something for the blogs, that’s really sad because they’re not living for themselves, versus someone wearing a kimono who’s having an awesome time.
“I really look to see, do you care more about what other people think, or are you having fun?”
