Gillian Anderson just shut down any debate about if she’s had surgery
Gillian Anderson has shut down any debate about whether she has had surgery or not in the best way.
The X-Files star, who recently reprised the role of Dana Scully, branded the Daily Mail “sad” for speculating about whether she has had surgery.
“Experts” on plastic surgery were asked in the article to giver their opinions on what procedures the star might have undergone.
Their conclusion? Apparently she has had a nose job, lip fillers, cheek fillers, botox, a neck-tightening procedure, a chin lift and eyelid surgery.
Tweeting a photo of the story, she wrote: “If it weren’t so sad, this bollocks would have made my day.”
In her tweet, the X-Files star linked to an EverydaySexism tweet, which reads: “How we respond to the release of new work by a talented and successful woman in 2016…. #EverydaySexism.”
Anderson this month returned to the screen as Scully, but recently revealed something shocking about the pay she was offered to reprise the role after 14 years.
As well as saying she was offered “half” the pay of David Duchovny for the show’s revival (yes, even after all this time), she said in 1993, when she first took up the role, she was told to stand behind her co-star.
Years after speaking out about having a relationship with a woman, actress Gillian Anderson last year said she thought she owed it to her to not keep their relationship a secret.
