Rylan Clark-Neal and husband Dan first gay couple to present This Morning
The former Big Brother contestants will become the first same-sex pair to present the popular daytime show.
Rylan Clark-Neal and husband Dan are set to become the first gay, married presenters of the long-running TV show, This Morning.
The pair will be the first gay couple to present the ITV daytime staple, stepping in for Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford when they go on holiday in July.
“Rylan is hugely popular with the This Morning audience and working with Dan again will provide key chemistry a show like this requires with its hosts,” a source from the show confirmed.
However, it is not the first time the couple have worked together on the show.
The couple previously interviewed Christopher Cramp – the first person to have a civil partnership – shortly after their own nuptials.
The former X Factor singer – who rose to fame after appearing on the reality series in 2012 – has gone on to become a household name since his memorable appearance on the reality show.
He met his future husband while working as a presenter on Big Brother, after Dan was ejected from the 14th series of Big Brother.
“I didn’t expect to meet someone, so I was lucky I found him,” he said previously.
“It was the right place at the right time,”
Earlier this year, This Morning’s Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were left in shock today following one viewer’s tale of jealous revenge.
A man called Stephen phoned in to tell the hosts how he got his own back after discovering his boyfriend was cheating on him.
Holly and Phillip were unsurprisingly shocked by the tale – although they couldn’t help showing a little admiration.
