Lady Gaga gives moving rendition of ‘Born This Way’ for kids at foster home (VIDEO)
The singer shared the a cappella performance in order to raise funds for the home in Mexico.
When Lady Gaga headed off to Mexico recently, many thought the global superstar was taking a much needed break.
However, not one to rest on her laurels, the singer stopped by a foster home in Cabo San Lucas to surprise the children – but she didn’t stop there.
During her visit to Casa Hogar – a non-profit home for young boys – she delighted the children with a short impromptu performance of her 2011 hit, ‘Born This Way.’
The LGBT advocate later posted the video on Twitter, calling for fans to donate to the cause.
She also shared her love the children on her Instagram account.
Her fans were quick to praise Gage for her charitable actions and “compassion”.
“She really never takes a break from using her position in life to spread compassion, it’s very admirable,” one said.
Another added, “It is really wonderful that she would take the time during her vacation to do this. You can’t take a break from compassion.”
Lat month, the star gave a moving speech during a vigil for the victims of the Orlando gun massacre.
“As we have now witnessed the largest mass shooting in American history, I can’t help but feel that this level of hatred, like all prejudicial crimes, this is an attack on humanity itself,” she said.
At least 49 people were killed and 53 were injured in the shooting at the Pulse gay club.
Gaga was also recently banned from China after meeting with religious leader the Dalai Lama.
The pair met to discuss yoga, compassion and meditation in a 19-minute clip that angered the country’s Communist Party, as well as her legions of Chinese fans.
