Smith, who has been praised for pushing the boundaries of gender in fashion and beyond, appears in the scene set in a secret gay bar.
At first appearing overwhelmed, Smith’s character Marcus Kipling eventually locks lips with character Thor, played by Noah Le Gros.
The Baz Lurhmann-created show is set back in the 1970s and features six teenage artists living in New York City.
