Former ISIS militant says its members ‘rape gay men’ to punish them (VIDEO)
A former member of terrorist group ISIS has accused its members of raping men accused of being gay.
The interview with the former member of the Islamist group, also known as so-called Islamic State or Daesh, was published by the Washington DC-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
Kamandar Bakhtiar says he was formely a member of the ISIS Afghanistan branch Islamic State-Khorasan, and gave an interview talking about the atrocities he witnessed.
In the interview he describes the things he saw as “the worst thing one can imagine on the face of the Earth”.
“They kill and behead innocent people, plunder the property of regular people, and they do the worst possible things, such as raping homosexuals,” he adds.
Bakhtiar says the actions of the group run contrary to the teachings of Islam.
The terrorist group is well known for executing men accused of homosexuality.
Last month ISIS executed at least five men for being accused of being gay, including two of its own members.
The group in July publicly executed another man accused of being gay by throwing him from a rooftop.
