Sarah Jessica Parker says third Sex and the City film is ‘nearby’ (VIDEO)
The star of the show says the ladies may reunite ‘sooner than you think’.
If you’re one of the millions of fans desperate to see a third Sex and the City reunion, your patience may be about to pay off.
Although she rubbished rumours of a reunion earlier this year, the show’s star Sarah Jessica Parker recently teased that a possible third SATC movie may soon be in the works.
“I will say that the idea, it rests in the butler’s pantry,” the actress told CBS on Sunday.
“It’s not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby.”
Carrie Bradshaw’s alter-ego echoed comments she made just last month, when she first hinted that she may be joining Kim Cattrall (Samantha), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte) back onscreen soon.
I don’t think any of us have said no. I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie,” she told PA.
“I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved.
“I think that’s always a possibility, definitely.”
Parker echoed the sentiments of co-stars Nixon who recently confirmed that she would also be happy to return for a third SATC movie.
“If Michael Patrick King thought there was a story there that he wanted to write and tell,” Nixon said of the series creator.
However, she has no idea where the ladies might be – but would not want the responsibility of coming up with a story.
“I do not have a story in mind,” the Miranda actress said.
“Luckily that’s not my department.”
