The Bachelor finally creates true love – between two female contestants

For all of its efforts to bring couples together, The Bachelor hasn’t created many love stories for the ages.

But two recent contestants on The Bachelor Australia have found their happily ever after – by giving up on the guy at the heart of the show and running off with each other instead.

Megan Marx and Tiffany Scanlon both competed in the 2016 season of the show in Australia, but have revealed on Instagram that they found more chemistry with each other than with the Bachelor himself, Richie Strahan.

For the last few months the pair have been posting photos together on Instagram, with captions like “My favourite person,” and “There are many things that I love but here is one.”

Now Marx’s most recent post has declared her love for James, celebrating a relationship that grew from a friendship “into something bolder.”

“I met Tiffany in a very strange situation,” Marx captioned the photo. “Well… we were kind of dating the same guy. And it was filmed and put on TV ?.

“From that first cocktail party, it was like this instant calibration between souls, as if we had known each other once before.

“Friendship ripened into something bolder, trust in a very strange situation was formed, and now every adventure we have rivals the other- and continues to make plans for itself.

“Happy Birthday Tiffany. I love you.”

While The Bachelor may not be intended with same-sex couples in mind, new US show Finding Prince Charming was created this year just for them.

The show made headlines for including an HIV-positive contestant, and for the news that its ‘Prince Charming’ had previously been a sex worker.
