Lea DeLaria’s top tip on weight loss is absolutely hilarious
Lea DeLaria opened up about her recent weight loss and shared her hilarious, but totally true, secret on Conan O’Brien’s show.
The comedian and actor had lost fifty pounds after doctors warned her about her health.
“They told me I had diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol all at the same time,” she said on the show, quickly adding: “So basically all I can eat is pussy.”
The hilarious quip was met with a straight-faced response from Conan, but Andy Richter insisted that he would have loved to have a doctor that recommended that diet.
“As long as it has no gluten, I’m in,” Conan added to Richter’s remark.
The two went on to speak about DeLaria’s recent split from her former fiancé Chelsea Fairless.
“You know the thing is, it’s easier for us, because I am a lesbian and we have a time honoured tradition of keeping our exes friends,” DeLaria explained.
Conan pried further into DeLaria’s future love life, but she said that she has resided to her life of the “lesbian Jack Nicholson.”
“I can’t be the lesbian Brad Pitt. I think Rachel Maddow is the lesbian Brad Pitt. I picked him (Nicholson) very carefully, he had two children and I also just want to get two girls pregnant.”
Conan also asked DeLaria about her secret to looking good at 58, and she accredited being a lesbian.
“It’s a queer thing, looking good. It’s one of the few perks we have. We’re ostracised by our friends, family and society. But we have no kids, no men and no wrinkles,” she joked.
