Miss Texas has destroyed Donald Trump in just 14 seconds
A Miss USA contender was asked to give her opinion on Donald Trump’s reaction to the deadly white supremacist march in Charlottesville last month.
14 seconds later, she had annihilated the President’s initial response, which consisted of condemning the “hatred, bigotry, and violence, on many sides. On many sides.”
Civil rights activist Heather Heyer was killed by a neo-Nazi terrorist during the protest, which saw “Unite the Right” protesters chant “f*** you faggots”.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was among many who rebuked both the white supremacists’ violence and Trump’s response to it.
She said that “every minute we allow this to persist through tacit encouragement or inaction is a disgrace, & corrosive to our values.
“Now is the time for leaders to be strong in their words & deliberate in their actions.”
And when Miss Texas, Margana Wood, was asked what she thought of the president’s handling of the aftermath, she had no hesitation.
“I think that the white supremacist issue – it was very obvious that it was a terrorist attack.
“And I think that President Donald Trump should’ve made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and in making sure all Americans feel safe in this country.
“That is the number one issue right now.”
Margana received applause for the answer, which subsequently went viral online.
And she came fourth runner-up, which is pretty amazing in a nationwide competition.
The president actually owned Miss USA until a few months into his presidential campaign, as well as its sister organisation Miss Teen USA.
Trump was accused of walking into Miss Teen USA dressing rooms unannounced when he was the owner, where girls as young as 15 were in various stages of undress.
The allegations surfaced after the infamous Access Hollywood tape came to light.
Trump gave no response to the Miss Teen USA accusations, but boasted of doing precisely this on a radio show in 2005.
