Amanda Holden says she’s been having ‘honorary gay sex for years’ in outrageous speech

Amanda Holden shocked some when she made some pretty risqué jokes at the Attitude Awards last night.

Accepting the award for ‘honorary gay,’ she said she now couldn’t wait to start having honorary sex.

“Though I suppose, being an honorary gay is not actually being gay. So honourary gay sex means not actually having sex.”

“In which case, I’ve been married to my husband for 15 years and I’ve got two kids, so I’ve been having honorary gay sex for years.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge as also said she hoped the award meant she would be able to go cottaging.

“See you on Hampstead Heath!” she joked.

She added that she was excited to start using Grindr in her role as honorary gay, “although I’m not downloading it now as I think this room would explode.”

But putting aside jokes, she said she was “honoured and delighted” to receive the award.

She wanted to also draw attention to parts of the world that have a long way to go on LGBT rights.

“You just have to look at places like Russia and Uganda where being gay is a crime that is punishable by death,” she said.

“You hear about transgender people being banned from the army in America, the land of the free? For god’s sake, don’t make me laugh.”

“And when religious extremists preach all kinds of violence about gay people, when therapists still offer gay conversion courses, I mean, how ridiculous is that?”

She called for everyone to stand together and embrace diversity, and pledged to wear her ‘honorary gay badge’ with pride.
