Congrats! RuPaul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon got married in Vegas on Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve, Rupaul’s Drag Race star Manila Luzon married his partner Mic J Rez, at a ceremony in Vegas.
But, surprising to RuPaul fans, Manila wore the suit, while his partner wore the white dress!
He posted the picture on Instagram with the caption ‘Husbands! Happily Ever After!’
The longtime couple got married at the famous Silver Bell Wedding Chapel, with an Elvis Presley impersonator officiating.
They got engaged in November 2016 after several years together.
Of course, Manila didn’t do it by halves, getting on one knee in front of a crowd at a performance at LemonLab in Santiago, Chile.
They were there while Manila was performing, and her boyfriend, whose real name is Michael Alvarez, was visiting family.
Alyssa Edwards, another RPDR, officiated the gay wedding of two fashion designers last week, and it was just as fabulous as you might imagine.
Manila Luzon , aka Karl Westerberg, is famous for being a runner up on the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Her drag queen name comes from the capital city and largest island of the Philippines, where her mother is from.
She is involved in a lot of LGBT activism, particularly around HIV/AIDS awareness.
She was previously in a relationship with season two Drag Race contestant Sahara Davenport, who died of heart failure in 2012.
“She is embedded into my soul at this point,” Manila told the RuPaul podcast ‘What’s The Tee?’
Earlier this month is was announced that RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars 3, which will bring back favourite queens from past seasons, will air on January 25th, and the trailer was released.
The UK and Ireland Werq the World Tour was also announced, which will take place in May and June 2018.
