Melania Trump had the White House exorcised before moving in, claims right-wing pastor
A right-wing pastor has claimed that Melania Trump had the White House exorcised before she moved in.
Pastor Paul Begley claimed that the White House had become full of “all kinds of idol gods and images and all kinds of artefacts in there that were demonic” during the Obama-era.

He alleged that these demonic artefacts led to Melania deciding that numerous preachers and priests needed to be brought into the White House to cleanse it, or else she would “not spend one night in it”.
“During that five hours when they were ripping out carpets and changing drapes there were people in there packing up every idol.
“The only thing that was left was one cross on one wall.

“They cleansed the White House. They had people in there anointing it with oil and praying everywhere,” he claimed.
Begley, who preaches about an impending apocalypse, also claimed that the president “allowed 40 pastors to come into the White House and anoint him with oil and lay their hands and pray on him” seven times.
“At least he (Trump) is humble enough and recognising that he needs God enough that he keeps bringing them in for the prayer.
“And I’ve got to say this, it might have started with the first lady,” he added.
As well as allegedly having the White House exorcised, Trump ended Barack Obama’s eight-year tradition of LGBT Pride Month celebrations in the White House.
From 2009 until 2016, President Obama had issued annual Proclamations recognising the month of June as LGBT Pride Month and hosted LGBT festivities inside the White House.
Obama’s Proclamations recognised “the fight for dignity and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people”, as well as marking the government’s role in “working to broaden opportunity, advance equality, and level the playing field for LGBT people and communities”.
However, the tradition of Pride celebrations in the White House appears to have been ended under Trump.
The White House released a string of Proclamations marking June as “National Homeownership Month”, “National Ocean Month”, “African-American Music Appreciation Month” and “Great Outdoors Month” – but no such Proclamation was released for LGBT Pride Month.
Likewise, no LGBT Pride Month events at the White House have been announced.
Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi knocked the Trump administration in her own Pride Month statement.
She said: “As we mark LGBT Pride Month, we honor the LGBT leaders who have striven to build a more just society for all, and recognize the struggles and sacrifices they have endured in the fight for equality.
“This month, we celebrate their triumphs and remember that our Founders’ creed – that all are created equal – is not inevitable; that we must work every day to forge a more just, inclusive and perfect union.”
