This beautiful Pride Paperchase x Philip Normal collection is nothing short of dreamy
We’re used to seeing a lot of corporate dross during Pride, with several dubious items even made in countries where it’s illegal to be gay.
But Philip Normal’s colloboration with Paperchase this Pride month is not only peng af, it’s made by one landmark queer artiste who captures the queer psyche in a way that few other designers do.
After taking a look at the collection, we’re happy to see that the stationery masterminds have teamed up with the Brixton-based designer to release these pieces come July 10.
Cue a range of fluffy, hun and qween-based items in the Paperchase x Philip Normal collection.
Whether the rainbow ruler boasting “size does matter”, a notepad emblazoned with “OMG ARE YOU OK HUN?” the collection has pretty much got it covered.
Oh, and nothing is quite quintessential queer millennial like a fluffy-bellied avocado.
“Years ago, I joked to my friend I would love to collaborate with Paperchase. I’m obsessed with stationery and Paperchase always stood out for me,” Normal told Licensing Source.
Customisable patches, brunch-themed gifts, rucksacks and pencil cases complete the one-of-a-kind collection.
Philip Normal is known for his loud and proud designs that don’t feel any need to apologise.
The gay designer has got queer pop culture on a lockdown Golden Girls, TOWIE’s Gemma Collins and Eastenders The Mitchells are a force to be reckoned with.
After studying fashion at Westminster University, Philip Normal opened his first shop in Camden in 2008.
As well as creating a roster of on-point designs, Normal spends his time in politics.
The proud Labour Councillor for Oval in London has even created a couple of designs focused around the political mood of the nation, including a “don’t blame me I voted for Remain” t-shirt.
We imagine this limited edition collection won’t be around for long.
Go out there and get it, hun.
