Amir Khan misgenders Caitlyn Jenner on ‘transphobic’ Snapchat post
Former boxing champion Amir Khan has misgendered Caitlyn Jenner on a Snapchat post where he labelled the former athlete with her deadname.
The 31-year-old, who is the former light-welterweight world champion, posted a picture of the pair on the app as they both attended the ESPY awards in Los Angeles.
A person on Twitter spotted Khan’s caption and wrote: “Amir Khan is not funny for calling [Caitlyn] Jenner [by her former name],” they continued: “he demonstrates what a transphobic c*** he is.”

His post has received widespread criticism online but Khan has not appeared to have responded to the controversy.
The boxer also posted a video of himself high-fiving Jenner on Instagram during the same evening and tagged her instagram handle, which is @caitlynjenner.
Jenner came out as trans in 2015 and has since battled with the media to be addressed by her correct name and pronouns.
The 68-year-old, who is the parent to daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, came out to the world on the cover of Vanity Fair under the tagline: ‘I am Caitlyn.’
In May, Jenner revealed how she thought about coming out as transgender after her death.
The former Olympian told Broadly, before making the life-changing decision to transition, she thought “a lot” about being buried in women’s clothes.
“I thought about that a lot over the years,” Jenner said, “and it would shock everybody. Screw ‘em.”
Jenner, who used to be a well-known supporter of President Donald Trump, recently revealed why she’s changed her mind about the Republican.
