David Beckham is flirting with Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds on Instagram

Footballing legend David Beckham has been caught flirting with Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds on Instagram.

On Wednesday (September 19), the former Manchester United star commented on a photo the actor had uploaded on to Instagram, in which Reynolds said he was “boiling” in a car on the set for his upcoming movie 6 Underground.

“God you are handsome,” Beckham responded.

The pair are known to be friends, with Beckham even starring in a video to promote the Deadpool sequel in May.

In the clip, Deadpool (Reynolds) can be seen apologising to Beckham for saying he sounded like he had “mouth-sexed a can of helium” in the 2016 film.

Reynolds and Beckham also appeared together for an episode of The Graham Norton Show in May.

In May, Deadpool 2 won praise for featuring LGBT+ characters on the big screen.

The second movie revealed that Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) is a lesbian, and also introduced her girlfriend Yukio (Shioli Kutsuna).

And, in July, Reynolds said he would “love” to explore his character Deadpool’s sexuality more in future films.

Speaking during a Q&A at Comic-Con San Diego, Reynolds said: “I certainly think that this universe needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways.

“The great thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do.

“It’s something that I’d love to see more of, certainly through [Deadpool], certainly through this universe because it’s something that we’re building out more.”

He added: “I think [Deadpool’s sexual interest in men] could be played up more. He’s an outsider in every way, shape, and form.”

Some have speculated that the R-rated Deadpool, which is already banned in certain overseas conservative markets due to its violent and sexual content, had consequently less reason to worry about gay content than the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
