RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 spoilers, rumours and theories
Oh, oh, oh, Drag Race fans! Tis the time for some All Stars 4 spoilers!
Mama Ru has blessed us with a new season of Drag Race All Stars and it debuts on Friday.
Reddit is buzzing with speculation over the show. However, production company World of Wonder is keeping a tight grip on all information regarding the show. Only one thing is for sure: What you see isn’t always the truth.
Here are the most popular All Stars 4 spoilers and theories.
A warning: The following is a round-up of speculation so take it with a pinch of salt or two. And, obviously, some possible spoilers ahead.
First off, the cast.
WoW announced the returning queens on November 9 via a Youtube Live. Latrice Royale (Season 4 and All Stars 1), Manila Luzon (Season 3, All Stars 1), Gia Gunn (Season 6), Jasmine Masters (Season 7), Naomi Smalls (Season 8), Valentina (Season 9), Trinity The Tuck (Season 9), Farrah Moan (Season 9), Monique Heart (Season 10) and Monet X Change (Season 10) are all coming back to claw their way into the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
FIRST OUT
Reddit’s Nancy Drews have been working hard to find some All Stars 4 spoilers. Jasmine Masters and Farrah Moan are equally likely to make an early exit. The money is on Masters going home first, with Farrah Moan being eliminated in episode two.
TOP four AND HIGH PLACEMENTS
According to Reddit users stbbb, drag_teathrowaway (a throwaway account that no longer exists) and Offsetbuthastea, Manila Luzon and Monet X Change will make it to the top four of the competition.
Speculation is fierce over which other queens will make it, with some naming Valentina, Trinity the Tuck, Latrice Royale and Naomi Smalls as top four queens.
RETURNING QUEENS
When it comes to bringing queens back, All Stars 4 will likely follow into the footsteps of All Stars 2 and 3. The returning queens are set to come back to compete against the remaining ones at some point in the competition. One eliminated queen will earn the right to return to the competition and eliminate one of the remaining queens. Rumour has it the queen in question could be either Latrice Royale or Manila Luzon.
VALENTINA
Whether you’re a fan of not, Valentina provided us with some of the most memorable lines on the show’s ninth season. Just think of the iconic “I’d like to keep it on, please,” and of course Aja’s iconic Linda Evangelista rant.
Speculation on how Miss ‘Tina fares in All Stars 4 are contradictory at best. Some say she does extremely well and makes it to the top four of the competition. Others claim she bombs the season and performs very poorly throughout. Whether she does a terrible job or kills the competition, Valentina is definitely one to watch.
RUNWAYS AND CHALLENGES
People have lots of ideas regarding this season’s runway themes, but only a few of them are probable.
A ball challenge will likely to take place at some point in the season. According to an anonymous source, there will also be a “funky footwear” runway (whatever that may be).
All Stars 3 had a Rudemption runway where queens presented better versions of failed looks from their seasons, but we’ll have to wait to see whether All Stars 4 will continue the trend.
JURY OR NO JURY?
Fans did not care for the introduction of a jury in All Stars 3. The format saw eliminated queens come back in the show’s last episode and decide on which queens will make it to the top two.
It is unclear whether a jury system will also operate during the show’s fourth run.
However, two Reddit insiders mentioned that all queens were present during the filming of the finale, which could mean a jury will be in effect.
Another person said that “Ru was not happy with the jury’s decision.” One source said she picked the two queens for the show’s final lip-sync herself.
TRANSPHOBIA ON SET?
This is one of the most confusing All Stars 4 spoilers. In early 2018, RuPaul infamously said that transgender women shouldn’t be competing in Drag Race after transitioning. He claimed that it “changed the whole nature” of what drag was about. He later doubled-down and compared transitioning to doping.
The show host later apologised.
Gia Gunn, who was critical of Ru’s comment back in March 2018, is Drag Race‘s first out transgender contestant.
In August, Gunn went live on Instagram and explained she wouldn’t be on the show because she “wasn’t so sure [her] kind was welcomed there.”
However, Gunn will definitely be on All Stars 4 and took part in the promo shoot.
There’s a rumour going around on Reddit that Gunn actually quits the race during the show’s third episode because of transphobia on set. Are we looking at a self-elimination Dela-style or will RuPaul address her past comments on the show?
However, as it is often the case with Drag Race, the rumour could be pure speculation and nothing is for sure.
RUPAUL PUTS THE All Stars 4 CAST ON BLAST
This one is no rumour as it comes from RuPaul herself.
Talking on What’s The Tee?, the podcast Ru hosts with Michelle Visage back in August 2018, the head queen mentioned an outburst she had on the set of All Stars 4.
The Emmy-winning host said she exploded and let the cast have it. Visage commented that the queens were terrified and “shitting their pants.” RuPaul did not reveal when the outburst takes place, nor the subject of her discontent.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 begins Friday on VH1.
