Janelle Monáe made waves at a Golden Globes afterparty, wearing a Chanel designed leather gold crown and Egyptian-style dress.

“Janelle Monae proves she’s a goddess at the 2019 #GlodenGlobes,” wrote one person on Twitter.

Killing Eve co-stars Sandra Oh, who picked up a gong for best actress in the TV drama, and Jodie Comer co-ordinated their looks with white and black dresses. The obsession continues.

Golden Globes’ best actor nominee dazzled on the red carpet with a hot pink and silver cape and an embroidered grey suit designed by Randi Rahm Studio.

Social media users, understandably, praised the Pose star for his fashion choice.

“Billy Porter showing up at the Golden Globes looking like a queer superhero is the only thing going on my vision board from now on,” one person exclaimed.

Lena Waithe debuted freshly dyed bleach blonde hair to the Golden Globes, as she looked dapper in a tailored black suit.

Cody Fern dazzled at a Golden Globes afterparty, wearing a black shirt—complete with a sheer panel—and some eye-catching “goat” shoes. 

Twitter users were in awe of the look, with one person writing: “HOLY SHIT, CODY FERN (I’m still mad he’s not nominated but this lewk is killer).”

Taylor Swift arrived at the Golden Globes afterparty dressed in a sleek Versace dress, which she co-ordinated with Lorraine Schwartz earrings, and an Ofira ring.

Timothee Chalamet turned heads as he donned a Louis Vuitton tailor-made black shirt featuring an accessory that appeared to be a harness, but the fashion house described as a “bib” in a press release quoted in Vogue.

He won hearts as he brought his mum along as his date.

LGBT+ representation at the Golden Globes

LGBT+ themes shows and filmed dominated the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night.

Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody won accolades for best film drama, with lead actor Rami Malek, who played Freddie Mercury, scooping best drama actor.

Comedy-drama Green Book, meanwhile, landed three gongs: best musical or comedy film; best supporting actor for Mahershala Ali; and best screenplay.

Sandra Oh was awarded best actress in a TV drama for her part in BBC America’s Killing Eve, which follows MI5 officer Eve Polastri and psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer), two women who become obsessed with each other.

Lesbian period film The Favouriteset in 18th century England, also scored its first award of the year for Olivia Colman’s performance as Queen Anne.

BBC mini-series A Very English Scandal also scored an award for best supporting actor in a limited series or TV movie for Ben Whishaw’s role as Norman Scott.
