RuPaul: ‘I like laughing more than I like having sex’

RuPaul has spoken out about his sex life, saying that he can “probably” count on his hands the number of times he’s enjoyed having sex.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race host said that the film and music worlds set a high bar for having sex—and that it did not compare to reality.
“I’d say that I can probably count maybe on two hands the amount of times that I’ve enjoyed having sex,” he said.
“Probably on two hands, maybe on one hand, maybe my right hand.”
The 58-year-old star, who is married to Australian painter Georges LeBar, continued: “I know that in the songs and in the movies they tell us we’re supposed to really really like it… we’re sort of forced to say that, ‘Oh this is the best thing.’
“I like laughing more than I like having sex.”

RuPaul, who said he started having sex at the age of 18, made the comments in his RuPaul: What’s The Tee? podcast, which he presents alongside long-time collaborator Michelle Visage.
During the latest episode, released on Wednesday (March 27), he interviewed actor, musician and model Cara Delevingne, who also candidly discussed her sex life.

Responding to RuPaul’s comments, Delevingne said: “I think laughter in sex is so important.
“Because you watch movies and you’re like… that’s what sex will be like and you have sex and you’re like: ‘Wow.'”

Visage, meanwhile, said having sex gets harder when you are older because it is tiring.
The television personality said she used to have sex with “any gender, any person, [I] didn’t care,” but that this changed as she grew older.
“Sex changes when you age that doesn’t mean it gets worst,” she explained.
“It’s just it’s a lot more energy.”
