Donald Trump says he’d like to run against Pete Buttigieg

Donald Trump said that he would like to run against Pete Buttigieg in the 2020 presidential elections.
Trump made the comments to Fox News host David Webb on his far-right show Reality Check. Trump said he might end up campaigning against Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, or “the mayor from Indiana.”
“I think I’d like running against [Buttigieg], too,” Trump said. “But it’ll be interesting to see it unfold,” he added.
Buttigieg officially launched his campaign four days ago, on April 14, and is one of more than 15 Democrats vying for the chance to challenge Trump.
In his announcement speech, he said: “My name is Pete Buttigieg. They call me Mayor Pete. I am a proud son of South Bend, Indiana, and I am running for President of the United States.”

“We live in a moment that compels us each to act. The forces changing our country today are tectonic,” he added.
The mayor set out his liberal agenda, calling out “violent white nationalism rearing its ugly head” and setting out plans for economic reforms to boost smaller post-industrial cities.
Speaking about being gay
Earlier this week Buttigieg spoke candidly about his sexuality during a one-on-one interview with Rachel Maddow. The gay Democratic candidate discussed the decision-making behind coming out at the age of 33.
MSNBC host Maddow, who is a gay woman, asked him why he hadn’t come out sooner, “I think it would have killed me,” she added.
Buttigieg said: “It was hard it was really hard, first of all, it took me plenty of time to come out to myself, so I did not the way you did, or my husband did, figure out about it at such an early age.”
“I probably should have, there were certain indications by the time I was 15 or so that I could probably point back and think ‘yep, this kid’s gay,”, Buttigieg added.
