Gerrish also got in touch with Delta’s customer support team over the graffiti.
“As a hetero woman, I can only know my hurt, anger, and disappointment… PALE in comparison to what the LGBTQ+ community experiences on a daily basis,” Gerrish reportedly wrote to the airline’s customer support.
Gerrish was on a flight from Boston to Atlanta when the incident occurred, reports LGBTQ Nation.

This isn’t the first time that Delta Airlines has come under fire with accusations that its staff have mistreated the LGBT+ community.
In January, a queer deaf couple claimed they were refused on board to a Delta flight after a staff member refused to communicate with them.
PinkNews has contacted Gerrish and Delta Air Lines for comment.
However, the airline has also made steps to support those in the LGBT+ community.
In March, it became first major US airline to introduce non-binary options on its booking forms.
