These firefighters posing with rescue cats for a steamy charity calendar is the most ambitious crossover event in history
You’ve seen hot guy calendars before, and you’ve seen cute animal calendars – but now you can get yourself a calendar that does both.
A group of Australian firefighters have banded together to raise funds for animal charities across the country with a steamy calendar.
The calendar features hunky firefighters posing with adorable fluffballs in a variety of situations that will melt your heart, titillate you, or both.
Firefighters pose with cute and cuddly rescue kittens.
A release explains: “The 2020 Australian Firefighters Cat Calendar will appeal to every crazy cat lady and man worldwide.
“It features our very handsome firefighters alongside cute and cuddly rescue kittens and cats.
“Whether you are a fan of tabbies, torties, tri-colours, gingers, blacks, Bengals or Flame Points.
“Maybe you are even a fan of the grumpy cat?!?! There is a gorgeous cat in here for everyone!
“All these adorable cats and kittens are rescue animals from ABC Rescue Qld, AMS Cat Haven and Best Friends Felines.”
The group has also produced calendars featuring firefighters with puppies, horses and farm animals – but it’s definitely the cats that are most likely to drive the internet wild.
Calendar raises millions for good causes.
The annual calendar has been running since 1993, and has raised $3 million for good causes across Australia.
The group explained: “Since 1993 firefighters from Australia’s Urban, Rural, Aviation, Armed Forces and Corporate fire fighting services have been coming together to create the world’s most iconic calendar.
“After three rigorous weeks of photography, the final images are put together to create the annual Australian Firefighters Calendar for fans across the globe.
“Since its inception the Australian Firefighters Calendar has donated over $3 million dollars to various charities around Australia with $1.9 million dollars of that being donated in the past 5 years alone.
“In 2019 the Australian Firefighters Calendar will donate to the Kids With Cancer Foundation, Rural Aid Australia, Down Syndrome South Australia, Pets Of The Homeless Victoria, Youngcare QLD, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, Precious Paws Animal Rescue, Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Healing Hooves, AMS Cat Haven, Reason to Thrive, RACQ, the Autoimmune Resource & Research Centre.”
