Love Island star is freezing her eggs so she can have a baby with her gay best friend
Love Island star Amy Hart has revealed she plans to to freeze her eggs so that she can have a child with her gay best friend.
The TV personality, 26, is hoping to undergo the procedure following her stint on the reality show, which abruptly ended after Curtis Pritchard dumped her.
“I would love to get married and have kids,” Hart told The Sun.
“Being a mum is something that is really, really important to me. It is something that I would do on my own if I didn’t meet the right man.
“I have been thinking about freezing my eggs for a while and I’ve decided to do it next year. It is one of my New Year Resolutions.
“I have a rough age in mind. If I’m still not with anyone when I’m 35, I would like to do it on my own although I may end up doing it earlier than that.
“That age isn’t set in stone.”
She continued: “I’m not sure exactly how yet. I could do IVF with an anonymous sperm donor or with one of my gay besties.”
Love Island Amy Hart wishes ex-partner Curtis Pritchard ‘all the best’.
But looking back, Hart isn’t sure her feelings were as deep for Pritchard as she thought at the time.
She said: “I don’t think it was actually love looking back. Like I said we were in a bubble, I’d never been in that situation before and never felt like that before.
“I certainly had very strong genuine feelings but I think I’m still looking to feel real love.”
Pritchard, whose sexuality was the target of speculation from fans, later opened up about being in same-sex relationship and wouldn’t “rule out” the idea.
The ballroom dancer has said while he has “been with women” in the past — including his Love Island co-star Maura Higgins — it doesn’t define his sexuality.
Higgins and Pritchard are still going strong. “I’m not surprised they are still together,” Hart said.
“They seem really good together.
“I wish them all the best.”
