Colton Haynes to star as a famous #instagay in a new queer comedy and our bodies are ready
Arrow actor Colton Haynes will star in a new gay-themed comedy series I Run Hot.
Broad City co-creator Ilana Glazer is executive producing the new show, which is under development at AMC.
Her brother, Eliot Glazer, will star in the odd-couple comedy as Eliot, “a gay curmudgeon who never quite fit in with the community”, while Colton will play “a famous #instagay who can’t help but exemplify it”.

Eliot Glazer, who will also write and exec produce in the show, added: “started from the bottom ?️? now we’re queer ?️?”

TV star is making comeback after substance abuse battle.
The return to a major acting role comes after a troubled period for Colton Haynes, who has previously spoken about his struggles with substance abuse following the death of his mother and his split from husband Jeff Leatham.
Haynes told Attitude last year that his substance abuse problems started after he came out in 2016, but worsened dramatically last year as he endured repeated personal traumas.
“I came out and, in a way, my downward spiral started,” said the actor. “I felt extremely free but at the same time the amount of attention I was getting was making me spin out of control.
“I got married and that didn’t work out. That was extremely public and heartbreaking, and right when that was going on, my mum died.
“At that point I fell apart. My brain broke. I was doing a massive comedy for a studio, showed up to work and got fired on the first day. They said I looked as if I had ‘dead in my eyes’, and I did.
“I got so heavily involved with drugs and alcohol to mask the amount of pain I was feeling that I couldn’t even make some decisions for myself. I was drowning in my own s**t.”
