Name a more iconic duo than Harry Styles and Lizzo singing Juice
It finally happened.
Ever since Harry Styles sang Lizzo’s ‘Juice’ on the BBC Live Lounge, in December 2019, a meeting of two of pop’s biggest queer icons has surely been on the cards.
That time, Harry Styles had nothing but praise for Lizzo.
“I just think she’s amazing; she’s one of the most exciting artists working now for sure. She’s exactly what you want an artist to be, which is themselves,” he said.
Lizzo responded with a one-word tweet that perfectly encapsulated how the internet felt about Harry stanning her: “*Melts*”.

Now, just a month later, on January 30, Lizzo brought the Fine Line singer on stage to sing with her at her show in Miami Beach, Florida.
Wearing what can only be lovingly described as a knitted, cropped and striped sweatervest, Harry popped up to sing “If I’m shinin’, everybody gonna shine,” from Lizzo’s 2019 hit.
The pair then danced together (!!!), with Lizzo mock-spanking Harry (!!!).
The surprise performance has delighted fans.

The video has sparked furious approval online, with Canadian actor Dan Levy tweeting a coffin emoji.
“Same,” replied GLAAD, the major US LGBT+ organisation.

Obviously, people began demanding an album.
“Going to need a full Harry Styles and Lizzo duet album,” tweeted Alex Goldschmidt, of talent agency DMM.
“God listen my prayers! Thank so much for make Harry Styles and Lizzo sing together,” said another Twitter user.

While Harry Styles has a veritable army of queer fans, he has faced accusations of queerbaiting in the past.
These came particularly after his last album, fluffed with pastel colours and sexually-charged anthems.
And with his dangly earrings and diet of cod sperm, the Fine Line musician has often been tangled in fans and reporter’s musings on his sexuality, whether he is bisexual and whether he’s hiding it.
In an interview with The Guardian, the 25-year-old was asked whether he, “happens to be a straight dude sprinkling LGBTQ crumbs that lead nowhere”?
“Am I sprinkling in nuggets of sexual ambiguity to try and be more interesting? No,” he replied.
“In terms of how I wanna dress, and what the album sleeve’s gonna be, I tend to make decisions in terms of collaborators I want to work with.”
The reporter enquired whether Styles blurs his sexuality, too, and whether people have asked if he’s bisexual.
“Uhm, I guess I have been asked,” he replied, “But, I dunno, why?”
“It’s not like I’m sitting on an answer, and protecting it, and holding it back.
“It’s not a case of: I’m not telling you cos I don’t want to tell you. It’s not: ooh this is mine and it’s not yours.
“It’s: who cares? Does that make sense?”
It does, Harry. It really does.
