It only took more than a decade, but queen Nicki Minaj is finally gracing the panelled catwalk of RuPaul’s Drag Race and pretty much every queer person imploded into a singularity of pure joy.

In a first-look trailer for the show’s upcoming twelfth season, it showed the “Tusa” rapper strutting down the stage to the aggressive applause of the contestants.

As a result, gays across the world were whipped into a frenzy, as Minaj took to Twitter yesterday evening to confirm the news describing it as “a dream of mine for so long.”

Us, too, Minaj. Us, too.

Twitter declares Nicki Minaj as ‘queen of the gays’ for Drag Race debut.

“I pledge allegiance to the drag!” Minaj announced in the trailer. Only respect for our president.

Twitter became a clogged mess of all-caps tweets and mass stanning. And it was beautiful.

One user declared her as “the new queen of the gays” which we feel happens every 20 minutes.

“Super Bass” singer shelved a Saudi Arabia gig over the country’s LGBT+ rights.

Minaj was scheduled to headline the alcohol-free, state-sponsored music festival Jeddah World Fest in Saudi Arabia last year, but she ditched the concert over the country’s viciously anti-LGBT laws.

She explained: “After careful reflection I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest.

“While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.”
