The internet just remembered the horror that was Glee and Sarah Jessica Parker butchering ‘Let’s Have A Kiki’
The year was 2012. The scene, a Paramount Studios backlot. The act, truly one of the most horrific acts ever committed by the hands of humankind in history.
No matter how weird the Ryan Murphy show Glee got over the years, fans continued to gainfully tune in, week after week. They were the invisible support network to the cast and crew when star Cory Monteth tragically passed away in 2013.
They were also there when viewers were gifted the mash-up absolutely nobody asked for: the Scissor Sisters’ “Let’s Have A Kiki” and “Turkey Lurkey Time” from the 1968 musical Promises, Promies.
May 9 officially became ‘The Day We All Remembered This Song’ as the clip from the eighth episode of season four went viral on Twitter.

Yes, Sarah Jessica Parker and Shangela were involved in the Glee cover of ‘Let’s Have a Kiki’.
It seems viewers tumbled into one of two camps.
They either felt the song wasn’t real and was simply a collective fever dream, or the song triggered sensations comparable to post-traumatic stress disorder after eight years of not having to think about it.
We choose to unsee.
The song featured Rachel (Michele) Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Isabelle (Sarah Jessica Parker) sing the mash-up, with Brody (Dean Geyer) and the Orphans of New York providing backings.
Yes, Sarah Jessica Parker really did guest star in Glee. And yes, it’s true, RuPaul’s Drag Race Shangela was one of the orphans.
This will be expunged from her record.
There were many things better suppressed that occurred in the video. For example, the sight of Lea Michele using her hands to mimic turkey tail feathers.
Or Parker cheerily strolling past two homeless people as she complains about taking a train to a club.
Human language is simply too limited to capture what the mash-up was. But these user reactions come close.
Rachel Berry saying hunty has been seared into my brain forever more and I'll never forgive Ryan Murphy for that https://t.co/lwzZonhTtN

Although, some hardcore Gleeks dusted off their McKinely High letterman jackets to defend the track.
