Grimes’ mum slams Elon Musk for ‘blaring men’s rights bulls**t’ two weeks after the birth of her gender-neutral grandchild
Grimes’ mother has attacked Elon Musk for “blaring men’s rights bulls**t” on Twitter just two weeks after the couple had a baby.
Sandy Garossino, mother of pop star Grimes, slammed Tesla CEO Musk in a series of since-deleted tweets for urging his followers to take the “red pill”.
‘Taking the red pill’ is a reference from The Matrix and is widely accepted as a description of alt-right radicalisation.
Musk, known for union-busting practices at his companies, had obliquely tweeted: “Take the red pill ?” – and Grimes’ mum was not impressed.
Grimes’ mum made her feelings on Elon Musk very clear.
“If your partner went through a challenging pregnancy and childbirth in the last two weeks… And you were over 16 years old, would you be blaring [men’s rights activist] bulls**t on Twitter right now?” Garossino tweeted.
When another Twitter user told Musk to “step away from the broflakes” because he had a “three week old baby”, Garossino replied and said the baby was in fact less than two weeks old.
If that didn’t make Garossino’s feelings on her daugther’s boyfriend clear, she later retweeted a tweet from the Pivot Podcast which said Musk should be arrested for attempting to re-open Tesla factories in California during the coronavirus pandemic.
If your partner went through a challenging pregnancy and childbirth in the last two weeks… And you were over 16 years old, would you be blaring [men’s rights activist] bulls**t on Twitter right now?
All of the tweets and retweets have since been deleted, however her liked tweets remain intact. She recently liked a tweet from journalist Yashar Ali which reads: “Elon Musk’s Twitter presence in the last few months feels very Kanye 2018.”
The Tesla CEO has also been slammed by The Matrix director Lilly Wachowski.
She has also liked a tweet that includes a screenshot of Musk’s red-pill tweet along with the caption: “Smashes face into keyboard repeatedly.”
Musk’s “men’s rights bulls**t” was also roundly condemned by The Matrix director Lilly Wachowski.
When Ivanka Trump retweeted Musk’s “red pill” tweet, Wachowski simply replied: “F**k both of you.”
After the burn attracted more than 150,000 likes, she followed up with a call for supporters to donate to a Chicago centre for trans people of colour, the Brave Space Alliance, adding: “Support @BSAllianceChi if you can.”
