Armie Hammer explains why he got so thirsty over Timothée Chamalet – and it has nothing to do with Call Me By Your Name

Armie Hammer has addressed the ridiculously horny Instagram comment he sent to Timothée Chamalet last week.
Hammer sent fans off the deep end Tuesday (October 13) when he commented underneath one of Chamalet’s moody selfies: “OoOOOoOoooo KING S**T!!,” with a string of aubergine, sweat, heart and fire emojis.
More than 230,000 Instagram users liked Hammer’s comment, prompting many theories it had something to do with the upcoming Call Me By Your Name sequel.
Hammer was promptly asked to explain himself by Variety, clarifying: “People got so excited, I don’t think they realised I was actually making fun of how ridiculous people sound on the internet now.”

A sequel for Call Me By Your Name has been confirmed, with Armie Hammer and Timothée Chamalet to reprise their iconic roles as Oliver and Elio.
Director Luca Guadagnino revealed the sequel will take place “five or six years afterwards” the first movie was set, and will address the AIDS crisis as well as events such as the Gulf War.
The film looks to be quite a way off, as Hammer revealed in the interview that he hasn’t yet seen a script.
“I don’t know if there is a script and they’re just not giving it to me or if there isn’t a script,” he told Variety.
André Aciman, who wrote the book that Call Me By Your Name was based on, released a sequel titled Find Me in 2019, which picked up 10 years after Elio and Oliver were separated.
Guadagnino told Variety in December that his film will fill in the gaps in between the two books, confirming it “will not be strictly adapted from his [André Aciman’s] second novel”.
The filmmaker added: “The passion I have is for actors and the characters, and I believe these characters have more things to do and experience and could be interesting to see them growing in life.
“It’s not about a sequel, it’s about what happens to them, and how to track the actors ageing into the characters.”
