Mike Tyson credits daughter for viral takedown of transphobic rapper Boosie Badazz

Mike Tyson has revealed that it was his daughter who inspired him to grill Boosie Badazz over his slew of transphobic statements against Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s trans daughter.
The boxing powerhouse’s daughter flew from New York City to Los Angeles, California, to confront the rapper herself when she found out he was set to appear on his podcast, Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson, he told TMZ Sports.
Tyson, 54, ended up roasting Badazz himself during the show as well which he did in a very, er, let’s just say, Mike Tyson kinda way.
Wade, a retired NBA player, and Union, an actor, have been vocally supportive and accepting of their trans daughter Zaya since she came out.
But for some weird reason, Badazz became obsessed this year with the teenager and the loving way she is being raised by her parents. He has reportedly made disturbing remarks about her, beginning in February when he said: “Don’t cut [her] f**king d**k off, Dwyane Wade.”

“You know, I was Boosie at one time,” Tyson said.
“My daughter flew all the way from New York City to LA, California, where I’m at just to be there, cause she thought Boosie was so disrespectful she had to confront him.
“Could you imagine that? I said: ‘Who do you think you are, you can’t confront my guest!’
“And she said: ‘You gotta talk to him, this brotha’s disrespectful to the community.’
“So she came, and what they didn’t show, was she confronted him.”
“I was worried I would have to get angry, cause this is my baby.
“But he conducted himself like a gentleman and it went OK. It didn’t go like I anticipated it to go. My daughter has a lot of courage and stuff.”
Tyson said he sought to understand exactly why Badazz has unleashed a wave of transphobia in recent months.
“I love Boosie,” he reflected. “Boosie is beautiful as far as I’m concerned.
“It’s just that, he gotta win that fight over those demons. He has to win, he can’t give into them.”

During Badazz’s appearance on Tyson’s show, the eponymous host asked why the musician is attacking Zaya in the way he is.
“Why do you say things about people who might be homosexual?” Tyson asked, clearly misunderstanding that being trans is not the same thing as being gay.
“Why do you say that about them? Do you feel there’s a possibility that you’re a homosexual and by disrespecting them you further yourself from being a homosexual?”
“I’m thinking you may like homosexuals.”
Badazz responded: “No, I’m straight as an arrow.”
“If you’re straight, then why do you offend people?” Tyson replied.
Badazz said: “I really commented on Dwyane Wade’s situation because I got offended because it’s a child.
“That’s why I really got offended, you know. If it was a motherf**king 19-year-old, 18-year-old, grown person, I probably wouldn’t have, I know I wouldn’t have said anything.”
Obviously, the ramblings of two grown men don’t really matter considering that Zaya has two loving parents who support her unconditionally.
The couple has been vocal in their support for their trans daughter, praising her as “wildly inspiring” in September when they were named as one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2020.
In a video released at the time, the couple said Zaya “has the freedom to be exactly who she is, who she was born to be, to be her most authentic self”.
“She doesn’t ask permission to exist. That is wildly inspiring.”
