Even more spectacular guest judges have been announced for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season two – and we’re gagging
Even more incredible guest judges have been announced for season two of Drag Race UK – and to say we’re excited would be an understatement.
Dawn French, Maya Jama and Jessie Ware were announced as guest judges for the show’s second season on Sunday (27 December).
“The Christmas presents aren’t stopping,” the official Drag Race UK Twitter account announced, revealing that the three icons would be joining the judging panel for the hit show’s second outing.
Ware confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: “Ring a ding ding!!!! Can’t wait, Drag Race UK,” while television presenter Maya Jama said: “The way I love this show.”
Dawn French previously revealed that she would appear as a guest judge on the second season of Drag Race UK during an appearance on Jessie Ware’s podcast in October.
Dawn French was asked to be a full-time judge on Drag Race UK.
“They did originally ask me to be a full-time judge, but I couldn’t – I don’t live in London,” she said.
“But I am going to be a guest judge.”

French, Jama and Ware will join other legendary figures on the judging panel in the second season, due to kick off on 14 January.
Elizabeth Hurley, Lorraine Kelly, Sheridan Smith, MNEK and Jourdan Dunn were all previously confirmed to be joining the show as guest judges for its second outing.
When Hurley was confirmed as a guest judge, she said: “My whole family is obsessed with the show and would have disowned me if I hadn’t said yes to being a judge. I am in awe of RuPaul and couldn’t take my eyes off him.”
Meanwhile, MNEK, who appeared on season one as a vocal coach and “loved being a part of it”, warned viewers to expect “Mariah on American Idol” when he takes his seat next to RuPaul.
“I’m a fan of Drag Race, as is most of the gay community. It’s literally our version of sports or something.
“I loved being a part of it. So to be asked to judge this year, I was so so so excited.”
The first season of Drag Race UK proved a huge hit with audiences, and was quickly confirmed to be coming back for a second outing.
