Actual Sonia from EastEnders added to Drag Race UK’s fierce celebrity line-up
Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia Fowler on Eastenders, is set to make a celebrity cameo appearance on season two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
On Monday (28 December), it was announced that Cassidy, alongside DJ and drag queen Jodie Harsh, actor Jay Revell and Drag Race star Raven would be appearing in the show’s second season.
The official Drag Race UK Twitter account wrote: “Exciting news, huns. Jodie Harsh, Natalie Cassidy, Raven and Jay Revell are all going to be making extra special cameos on series two of Drag Race UK.”

Fans were ecstatic that actual Sonia from Eastenders, who has been involved in multiple lesbian storylines with possibly another on the way, would be appearing on the show, with one writing: “Natalie Cassidy drag makeover challenge please.”
Referencing Sonia’s iconic trumpet-playing, one person wrote: “Yesss! Hope they have a trumpet playing mini-challenge!”

On Sunday (27 December), Dawn French, Maya Jama and Jessie Ware were announced as guest judges for season two.
“The Christmas presents aren’t stopping,” the official Drag Race UK Twitter account announced, revealing that the three icons would be joining the judging panel for the hit show’s second outing.
Ware confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: “Ring a ding ding!!!! Can’t wait, Drag Race UK,” while television presenter Maya Jama said: “The way I love this show.”
Elizabeth Hurley, Lorraine Kelly, Sheridan Smith, MNEK and Jourdan Dunn were also all previously confirmed to be joining the show as guest judges.
The full line-up of queens was revealed on 16 December. Hailing from England, Wales and – for the first time – Scotland, the 12 queens are: Tayce, Joe Black, A’Whora, Tia Kofi, Ellie Diamond, Sister Sister, Veronica Green, Bimini Bon Boulash, Ginny Lemon and Asttina Mandella.
