Candace Owens proclaims Donald Trump a ‘feminist icon’ because he spouted a load of transphobic lies

Right-wing pundit Candace Owens claims that Donald “grab ’em by the p***y” Trump is in fact a “feminist icon” because of his opposition to trans rights.
Owens, who’s previously proclaimed that trans activists are literally controlled by Satan, took to Twitter to deplore trans athletes in women’s sports after Trump’s controversial public address on Sunday (28 February).
His speech was typical Trump fare, littered with lies and baseless claims about trans athletes “dominating” women’s sports, but to Candace Owens it was enough to make him a feminist hero.
“If you guys are wondering what actual feminism is, it’s Donald Trump having the courage to stand up on stage and call out the insanity of biological men dominating women’s sports,” she tweeted. “He never kowtows to the left.”
As countless Twitter users piled on to remind her that a man accused of sexual misconduct by at least 26 women is as far from a feminist as it’s possible to be, Owens simply picked up her spade and kept digging.
“I’m trending right now and would like to publicly offer a non-apology for having stated the obvious: people purporting to be feminists that have not spoken out against the trans agenda currently eating women’s rights — are frauds,” she said. “Biological men have no place in women’s sports.”
It’s been widely noted that there is no significant evidence suggesting that trans women have any significant advantage over cis women in sports, nor is there any proof that trans rights infringe on women’s rights in any way.
But Owens had obviously acquired a taste for public humiliation at this point, so she doubled down in her defence of Trump.

It was an appalling take even by Candace Owens’ standards, and the backlash was swift and sweet.
