Dr Martens unveils new rainbow-hued shoes for Pride 2021 in support of Albert Kennedy Trust and others
Dr. Martens has released its Pride shoes for 2021 with a rainbow twist on its classic silhouette.
The brand has unveiled a subtly rainbow-hued shoe to celebrate Pride this year, as well as reiterating its commitment to donate to LGBT+ charities.
The reimagined 1461 leather shoes feature an embroidered rainbow flag, rainbow lace and heel loop as well as multi-coloured stitching above the sole.
They’re a one-off and are now available from the Dr. Martens website at £119, with the brand putting their money where their mouth is.

The brand says: “At DM’s, we stand proud with the LGBTQ+ community and our LGBTQ+ wearers around the world. This new one-off shoe pays tribute to the Pride movement.”
Dr. Martens has confirmed that it will be donating to three charities in Europe including akt, an England-based charity that supports young LGBT+ people facing homelessness after coming out.
The shoes are available in sizes three to 13, while customers can also take advantage of free delivery on the website.
They will also be donating to two other charities across the continent for Pride 2021: Jugend Gegen Aids and Le Refuge, based in Germany and France respectively.
This launch follows up a number of collaborations released by Dr. Martens in 2021 including one with the Keith Haring Foundation.
The collection featured classic Dr. Martens reimagined with Haring’s iconic designs including the angel with wings and the dancing figures.
Other collabs have included pop culture icon Hello Kitty, US skateboarding brand Supreme and designer Rick Owens, all putting their own spin on the classic English brand.
