The gay putting sex jokes on the Bake Off Twitter account deserves an immediate raise
The Great British Bake Off has long been loved for its cheeky brand of irreverent innuendo, but whoever’s running the show’s Twitter account just took it to a whole other level.
The beloved show’s pastry chef spin-off, Bake Off: The Professionals, is currently airing on Channel 4, and as the contestants focus on their baking the show’s official Twitter account has been bringing the banter.
One particular tweet really raised the bar.
Is the top straight? “Unlikely,” came the reply.

The top tier tweet summoned the gays from far and wide as people shared their shock at the sheer audacity of this social media planner.
“God bless whichever gay intern is running the official GBBO account,” commented one happy fan. “GBBO said gay interns are for life not just for pride,” said another.
YOU DID NOT

Unfortunately this kind of thing probably wouldn’t fly on the show itself, as 2019’s winner David Atherton found out when he was caught wearing an “I love anal” badge in the famous tent.
The memories came flooding back last month as he tweeted a photo of himself wearing the badge alongside fellow baker Michelle Evans-Fecci.
“Just remembering the time I tried to get away with wearing this badge on Bake Off,” he said. “I got it into the tent, but then it was spotted.”

The hugely popular show is believed to have begun filming its 12th season last month and is set to return to Channel 4 in the autumn, soggy bottoms and Hollywood handshakes galore.
